In English, we would never use a semicolon in the position before "and", just the comma. BTW, "tailor" is spelled with an "o" in English, i.e., unless Jack is someone who is tailing (à la Sam Spade) someone else rather than someone who makes clothing. And I don't think I would apply the word "appositions" to all the members of the series, just John and Jack. These are only five members of a series.
