general remark to be a personal response to my question "what is
feckless?"
And for thinking that I own my remarks after I've made them instead of
the
list at large.
Groveling apologies all round, but my growl was also slightly
joking, because what I recognize in you AND in me is the "teacher" mode
that sometimes over-explains. It was a pre-caffeine moment for me too.
Off to less febrifaciant moments. Another great word in the column with
feckless is "febrifuge," an agent that reduces a fever, and which
should be sprinkled liberally, I think, on my computer before I type.
