I described this survey to the folks gathered for Mass this morning.
We always have a bit of chit-chat before we begin. One of the men
suggested that "latrine" be included as an option in #19. There was a
time in my life when that's what I would have said, broadening the
definition from the trench in the ground to more civilized facilities.
Those with a navy background will remember the word "head" used for
this facility. My father used it all the time, even at home.
