Yep. I still have to read through it (I've only read the phonology until
now), but it does seem to be quite complex :) .

Normal rendering of bitmap fonts by Acrobat. I have the same problem at
work. I haven't tried yet with Acrobat Reader 6.0 at home, which is
supposed to have solved this problem (at least with all the files I
checked, it has :)) ). So it's just a matter of upgrading :)) .
