The problem with this is my interest is precisely in the difference, if
there is one, between definite and indefinite controllers wrt secondary
predicates. "It" is definite (by its nature it refers only to referents
easily identifiable by the listener), so examples involving "it" as a
controller don't really help. It seems to me that what you are saying is
that you don't perceive a difference between definite and indefinite
controllers with secondary predicates... which is fine. :)
