Me too. I tried using langmaker, and although it's a fun program to play
with, it felt kind of unsatisfying. There's almost a mystical sort of
experience when a word just rises to the surface of the consciousness,
like static from the depths of space.
What's strange is, allowing words to arise in this way doesn't mean I end
up with a mishmash of phonology. On the other hand, words obey
phonological rules very closely, although sometimes I discover later that
those rules aren't what I thought they were.
