Get wtih the times, Monsieur. Vim ("vi improved") is freely
available for Unix, Windows, and Mac (http://www.vim.org) and does
Unicode quite well, thank you very much. Every mail message I have sent
to this list (apart from the ones originating on gmail) was typed
in vim, including those with IPA, Chinese characters, etc. etc.
