No. Whelks are limpets are marine gastropods; whelks (which look like
snails) are eaten here, but not limpets AFAIK.
Oysters are a bivalve shellfish. Indeed, they may be eaten raw with a
squeeze of lemon. I have tried them thus; IMO they are much improved if
accompanied by a pint or two of Guinness.
