xuxuxi sounds:
vowels: a e i o u
voiceless or fortis or aspirated stops: p t k
voiced or lenis or unaspirated stops or voiced fricatives: b d g
voiceless fricatives: f c s x
nasals: m n
rhotic: r
lateral: l
semivowel: y
All as in IPA except c = [S] and y = [j].
xuxuxi morphology:
All syllables are CV. Words of one syllable are function words and
are unstressed. Words of 2 or 3 syllables are stressed on the first
syllable, and observe rules of vowel harmony.
First vowel Middle vowel Last vowel Harmony type
a a, e, o i, u low
e, i a, e, i o, u front
o, u a, o, u e, i back
I have not yet figured out how to handle borrowings.
Changes from my previous posting: added r and y as consonants.
