Re: Ergativity/Apologies

I apologize too if I misunderstood anybody or came across badly.. I
don't apologize that I might be wrong because if I did that I'd never
stop apologizing. ;) I've always been the kind of person who would argue
something to the bitter end lol, and it tends to annoy people. So I
thought we might as well stop arguing since I wasn't going anywhere and
neither was the rest of the world lol.. we weren't persuading each
other. I'd be happy to hear another explanation of what finnish.. was it
finnish? does though... I've always thought that finnish or maybe
swedish would be an interesting language to learn, although of course
I'd still have the problem that I can't get the rs right (same problem
in spanish :( )... finnish has an alveolar trilled r doesn't it? Is an
uvular r an acceptable substitute or does it make you sound wrong?
There are too many interesting languages to learn... *sigh* There's no
time to learn them all to fluency. It'll probably take me another year
at least probably more before I've got a decent vocabulary in spanish...
at the moment I'm stuck for words too often.
