I think the word you're looking for here would mean "[degree of]
illumination/reflected light)." That is the stem to which Ithkuil would
then apply its array of degree-based affixes indicating the degree/extent
of illumination, ranging from 'pitch-black' (= 'no illumination/reflected
light whatsoever') all the way to 'blindingly bright' or 'super-brilliant'
(= 'illuminted/reflecting to the maximum extent').
