Simple. He does, but with caveats. Because Teoh wants to be able to use it in
LaTeX, only one of God's great gifts to humanity, as mediated through His
servant, Prof. Knuth. Teoh _could_ make a TrueType or Type1 font, but such is
not the TeXian way, for such ways lead to dark places. No, Teoh wants to use
the One True Font Format: METAFONT. Unfortunately, MF is hidden and its usage
arcane to all but the most priviledged of TeX accolades. So Teoh, with great
patience, is waiting for the MF tutorial. Which Christophe Grandsire has been
promising to start, any day now, for the past six months.
There are dark rumors on the LaTeX-for-Conlangers list that C. Grandsire is
in league with the Evil One to thwart the enlightenment of the masses to the
wonders of the One True Font Format, as it was received by Knuth from on
high, by promising what will never be delivered. In the meantime, countless
fonts weep, for they have not been written.
