Here is yet another (admittedly late coming) Ethnologue entry for my
conlang, Nur-ellen.
NUR-ELLEN (ELLEN, MODERN ELVISH, LOW ELVISH, YLYLIG) 270,000
fluent speakers in Kemr, 67% of the ethnic population, almost all
bilingual
(also speak Brithenig); 340,000 worldwide. Spoken in several
parts of Kemr and in adjacent England; largest community in the city
of Tavrob`l (Tafrobl). Emigrant communities in the North American
League, Canada, Argentina, Australasia. Quendian, Insular. Dialects:
Lalorndorn (around Tafrobl), Lejonossen (in Castreleon and vicinity),
Nessirn (scattered about south central Kemr), Körnen (in western
Kernow), several emigrant dialects. All dialects are mutually
intelligible to a high degree; written standard form based on
Lalminorn dialect. Native alphabetic script, though
Latin script is also used. More than 95% literate. Officially
acknowledged minority language in Kemr; used in local government,
education, church services. Three newspapers in Nur-ellen (2 in
Tafrobl, 1 in Castreleon); radio and TV station in Tafrobl. Typology:
SVO, inflecting, active case marking. Mostly Christian, but
traditional religion remergent. Bible: NT 1887, full bible 1901.
Alternative timeline; see Ill Bethisad. Possibly also spoken by a
very small minority in Britain in our timeline.
