In High German, a glottal stop appears before the new vowel: "der andere" [de6 '?and@R@], which is also why German accents of English often feature beauties like [z@ '?az6] for "the other". In Züritüütsch, it's indeed [d@'rAnd@r]. -- Christian Thalmann
