Do tell: Does this vocalised r re-appear non-rhotic
English style before vowels, either in compounds or in
usual connected speech? (I presume you Deutschers have
less incentive for the latter, given that you have a
fair share of words ending in vowels anyway that a new
one isn't going to make much of a difference.)
