Agreed. _Lont_ might have been /lVnt/, but not _Launt_.
I think they should live with the $Lunt =~ s/L/C/ and
laugh at it. After all we live in the 21st century!
Near me there is a polytechnic university which used to
get its _högskola_ 'kind of univerity' changed to
_bögskola_ "gayschool". IMHO you do exactly what the
vandals want when you worry about such things.
