I have an alphabet (which I call Dialekt - it's a long story). I use the
alphabet for writing English, Hebrew, and my conlang Tesk. I've made a
rough-and-ready TrueType font, using Softy.
Because of the nature of my alphabet (which, like my conlang, is
derivative and doesn't have to have an "alien" feel to it), I was able
to use quite a lot of existing letters from Latin, Armenian, Cyrillic,
Arabic and Hebrew fonts (all of which should be accessible on the
Internet if you don't have them already). You can create a new font,
copy letters from other fonts, and then modify them in various ways.
While this is far from perfect, and I had to make compromises, it has
allowed me to realize my childhood dream of printing material in
something close to the "Dialekt" that I write longhand.
Hope this is of some encouragement to you! Good luck
