I'm always exhausted after teaching, no matter how low I pitch my voice.
I find sitting and meditating outside for five or ten minutes helps -- and
so does coffee!
My "teaching voice" is a little lower than my speaking voice, I think. I
think it might be a subconscious attempt to establish authority for
myself, considering that I'm fairly young.
I do notice when stumbling through Spanish like the clusy oaf that I am,
that I speak it a tiny bit higher than English. It's really noticable
when I say an English word (say, my name) in the middle of a Spanish
sentence.
