Possibly. Written evidence, which is what we have to go on, can't be conclusive in such a matter. OTOH, approximate rhymes are part of the English tradition of rhyme, possibly because English has so many different vowels. -- John Cowan cowan@ccil.org e'osai ko sarji la lojban.
