Hmm, maybe not a Californian, but a Midwesterner is definitely a "Yankee" to me. I think that the "West" is probly exempt from "Yankee" in my usage. But Northwest is definitely the "most Yankee" area. I guess it's sort of a graded quality, a New Yorker is more Yankee-ish than an Illinoisan, and an Illinoisan more than a Californian. -- "It's bad manners to talk about ropes in the house of a man whose father was hanged." - Irish proverb http://members.tripod.com/~Nik_Taylor/X-Files http://members.tripod.com/~Nik_Taylor/Books.html ICQ: 18656696 AIM Screen-name: NikTailor
