"frivolous" isn't really an appropriate choice here- I more meant
"different from the way that *traditionally* the name is spelt in the UK
for personal names", i.e. different from "Cassandra", which is more
"normal" here.

The internal <ph> seems a bit odd, to me, which was my point (very badly
stated). Especially as the family seems to think that the surname is Baltic
in origin- either Latvian or Lithuanian. AFAIK, <ph> isn't used in the
orthography of either language.
