The "fad" huh? So some people finally come out of the closet and admit
that they have feelings for the same sex, but since that doesn't fit in
with the tightly circumscribed universe of Ithica it becomes a "fad."
They'll "get over it," "grow out of it."
I think it's more likely that the fad of uniperspectual attitudes toward
sexuality is finally ending.
People don't follow "fads" in the hopes of getting beat up and tied to a
fence.
