No, there's a third possibility, to which Muslims subscribe: namely,
that Jesus was a prophet, and other people lied about what he said.
(FWIW, Muslims also believe that people lied about the status of Mary,
whom they believe to be a righteous woman. She is, interestingly,
the only woman mentioned by name in the Koran.)
