At the risk of a flamewar having already been incited by discussing
Religion (eep!),
if i remember what little i know of Islamic doctrine correctly, i don't
think they accept the Christian Gospels as a completely accurate
portrayal of Isa's life; the same holds true with the Jewish Bible's
narratives in relation to Islamic belief, after all the Tanakh says that
Isaac was bound on the altar, while according to Islam (is this written
in the Qur'aan?) it was Ishmael.
