In France, I know that many special events are in project in order
to celebrate 31 December 1999 -> 1st January 2000. They speak of
constructing a tower bigger than the Eiffel Tower entirely in wood! It will
be difficult for us to celebrate this year turn as another one, seen all the
major events that will happen.
But personnally, I'd prefer to celebrate 31 December 2000 -> 1st
January 2001, which is the _real_ turn of the millenium (at least for the
Gregorian calendar), but I think no major events are in project for that
day. Too bad!
Well, if I'm lucky, we'll celebrate both turns specially, or the
entire year 2000 will be a celebration (imagine, an entire year, wow!).
