I'm scared to touch *any* distant-future-Earth project...I don't feel I know enough about world history from the 16th century onward to extrapolate anything remotely plausible. <rueful look> What languages do you have in your world? :-)

<nod> Yes--in practice, I only have the one language so far (mainly because the novel is set in two nations that share dialects of the language) worked out in anything resembling detail. I may cheat on Mijera and strip off Japanese grammar. :-p YHL
