FWIW, my conlang is based on a fantasy universe which exists alongside the
"real world" (occasionally interacting with it). It has its own unusual
physics, etc., and the main inhabitants speak my conlang. Many aspects of
the conlang is derived from this fantasy universe (such as the color
symbolism, the obsession with the number 3, etc.)
And I do plan to have this lang split up into 3 daughter langs (the
physical layout of the fantasy world being conveniently separated into 3
parts :-P), and have them evolve separately at first, and then interact
with each other later (due to some more-or-less contrived circumstances
involving the communication between the 3 parts of the world).
