What difference between "stole" and "stone"? Nasalization, you mean?
I never knew there was a difference between those first two examples
until I got interested in linguistics, while the /T/ and /D/ I've known
the difference between for as long as I can remember (altho for a while,
I wasn't sure *what* that difference was, only that there was one)
