You mean like ablaut or umlaut or some other mutation?
Kerno often exhibits i-mutation in the dative singular
and nominative plural; primarily in monosyllables, but
that's not a hard and fast rule:
NOM il cats y cheit
DAT li ceit lis cattib
OBL le ngatte y chattes
