Well, i've heard ho used between boyfriends and girlfriends around here,
in a jesting sort of way (as in "She/he's my ho"). In a chatroom i visit
frequently, we call one of the posters the "Chat ho". However, it's not
seen as a polite thing by many, and it still has a much more negative
connotation.
