Well, there's obviously no such thing as English soccer ;-) I know this is an irrelevance (but I love to answer a rhetorical question), but when people refer to 'United', they probably mean Manchester United. But the names of English football clubs generally goes - "(Name of town), (United/City/Town/Rangers/Wanderers), F.C." With the second bit being optional There are exceptions. Arsenal, for example.
