It happens frequently with french, for english borrowed a
lot of
french words in the past.
One of the best examples is 'merchandising' english
borrowed from
'marchandise' (merchandise)and french re-borrowed tel-quel.
Some
french purists even proposed to translate
it 'marchandisage', wich
is actually a very ugly word!
There are lots of other examples I've not in mind right
now, but I
can found them if someone's interrested.
