Apologies to the list

Greetings, all,
After being bombarded with piles of unsolicited emails from multiple
persons engaging in this "debate" apparently started by one Lu Su and/or
one Cheng Zhong, I sent reply to everyone asking them to please remove
my name from the address list. I didn't care if people wanted to
continue emailing back and forth, I just didn't want to be a part of it.
I received a reply myself from a CONLANG list member also being
subjected to this, pointing out that what I naively thought might make
things better for myself was in fact apparently considered quite a rude
thing to do, and that I needlessly annoyed the 40-odd other people who
were in the same boat as I was.
CONLANG is important to me, and though I lurk a lot more than I post,
the last thing I want is for the list members to think of me as someone
who sends annoying unsolicited emails to lists of people, or to filter
out my email address because of it, or anything like that. So I would
like to apologize to anyone who was annoyed or offended by the email
that I sent. I'm very sorry.
And now I shall drop the subject.
