Hmm, that's interesting, I hadn't realized that. Though it seems it should
be obvious. By the way, do the Elves have names in their own languages for
the other Elves (or are the names listed in Sil. and the Appendices of both
Sil. and LOTR what they are called in Elvish)?

Of course, Quenya didn't have a word for "Orc" at all before the Noldor left Aman, as there were no Orcs in Valinor. The cognate _urco_ meant something like "nightmare" or "phantom". Greetings, Jörg.
