It depends. As far as I can tell, the difference of accent between
Quebecois and metropolitan French is at least as strong as, say, the
difference between London's English and Australian English. Sometimes, I
fell that Quebecois are speaking a different language. Moreover, there are
many differences of vocabulary. But as soon as a Quebecois begins singing a
song, they lose part of their accent (sometimes they lose all their accent)
and they begin singing like Metropolitan French. Very strange, but proves
that we have basically the same language.
