Thanks! There is a lot of "Scots on the wab" once you poke around for it, and I was able to find the Grimm tale "The Fisherman and his Wife" (which BTW would make an excellent conlang translation source: short, repetitive, familiar, not in copyright) in Scots and English as well as the original Low German that I mentioned a while back. Oddly, what I couldn't find is a High German translation: only a retold version that keeps the plot and characters but is not equivalent at the sentence level.
