Sure, what a great idea! What do you want the script to resemble? The chinese signs and their many offspring are dominated by lines and are squeezed to fit in a square, while most other local scripts in the area derive from ancient Indian scripts and can be more curvy, not to mention just curves. Complicated signs? Signs that are quick to write? Signs that are easy/ impossible to confuse with oneanother? Signs derived from other signs? t.
