To make it even weirder, |hm| and |hn| are apparently used for [m_0] and [n_0]
in the Noldorin of the Etymologies. It doesn't explicitly say anywhere (that
I'm aware of) that they're voiceless nasals, but since they derive from sm- and
sn-, it seems the obvious interpretation.
