"Guy" singular form is genderless? Here, "guy" in the singular is still
steadfastly male, as in the phrase "guy friend" for a male friend
(especially used by females). For some reason, there's no common phrase
for a female friend, as a child, I invented the word "friendgirl"
("friend [who is a] girl"), and some other people I know did that too,
but it's not common.
