I take that back, I have had distortions on my name. In Spanish class, I was called "Nico". Later, someone dubbed me "Nico Suave" (pun based on the singer "Rico Suave"), a friend of mine picked it up, and so it's stuck. My brother, in turn, has created the distortion /nikow swr=vej/ or /nikoh swarvej/. There's also the purely orthographic distortion N~ico Sua~ve, among others. /nik/ is also sometimes heard.
