Me neither. But that's only because other people have done the hard job

Metapost is not really a set of macros for Metafont. It's a Metafont-based
language used to produce Postcript images. Since it has to comply with the
Postcript standard, it's less powerful than Metafont. Also, it's normally not
used to make fonts (some people have tried to use it to make Type 1 fonts, but
it's not perfect yet).
