Kattolt (`north-land') was made to look like another word I came up with previously: ëannolt (`east-lands'). The recipe is lengthen the final consonant and add -olt. That world was made to look vaguely Gaelic.

I'm going sticking with the old orthography with a change: <o> and <ö> swapped like you suggested. The newer one was an attempt to get away from the quasi-Finnish look it managed to get.
