Hehe, that's definitely the first time anyone's said (or written) that
to me. I certainly don't look "uber-Nordic" - I've got neither blond
hair nor very blue eyes :-)

No - it's actually neither. I guess this really shows my unfamiliarity
with phonetics. After some more consideration I think the sound is
actually more or less a schwa (though it might be a little bit higher)
- I guess that makes it [r}n@ h@}gsEN] or [r8n@ h@8gsEN].
