I think it has something to do with the "Rejected
Posting to CONLANG" -- obviously a spammer/bot tried to
spam the list, got a message that he cannot write here
because he is no member and his message was bounced back
(like I sometimes get spam from my email address to my
email address for some reason). Because the spammer (or
rather the spambot) got a list of all the email adresses
listserv uses, he/it also sent a message to
listserv@listserv.brown.edu, where he/it automatically got
a message about how to use listserv -- The spam mail did
not include a valid command. And again, the message bounced
back.
I guess because spambots also take this list as a
ressource for email adresses, I still get a little spam at
the address I used at the beginning,
gitarrenklampfer@b....de. This address is nowhere visible
but here, and at other places I use it they said your data
*would be* safe when registering. What I *really* wonder
about is why I still get spam addressed to post@b....de
although this address does not exist anymore. It's only one
or two messages a day, but nevertheless, they're delivered
although they should not be. Maybe I should change the
number of the POP3 mailbox, because mail@b....de and
post@b....de were in the same group. So is
gitarrenklampfer@b....de.
