I pronounce n+1th as en-plus-oneth, and others do too:
"The answer then", said Doctor Blair,
Who's worked on it a month,
"y is not merely x^n
"But x^(n+1)."
I've forgotten the author, but it's either in _Fantasia Mathematica_
or (less likely) _The Mathematical Magpie_, both ed. Clifton Fadiman.
