The Russian is similar, but not identical. /Ja nje suma'SedshiI/ is
"I am not a madman"; I think /nu, vOt!/ is something like
"behold, there it is!" or "just look!" or some such.

Indeed. Plain <¡Mira!> would have been a better translation of the Russian,
but I added the <-lo> to cause the i to be accented and thereby get an
additional Latin-1 character into the middle of the line.
