Genetive singular and genetive plural, IIRC, are differentiated solely by tone for some nouns. In Spanish, stress can distinguish the first person singular present indicative from the third person singular preterite in -ar verbs, e.g., _hablo_ = I speak; _hablo'_ = (s)he/it/you (formal) spoke. -- "A silent mouth is sweet to hear" - Irish proverb ICQ: 18656696 AOL: NikTailor http://members.tripod.com/~Nik_Taylor/X-Files/
