- Well, that's not really proselytizing in the sense of standing on streetcorners handing out pamphlets or something like that. According to the sources, it was the Khazarian king himself who went around doing a comparative religion survey - so it's just a simple "conversion" as opposed to a "proselytization" (is that a word?) where the *religion* goes looking for *people*.
