Virus problem. "Hi, How are you?" Please pay attention.

From:Sally Caves <scaves@...>

I have received two emails, one from
Terrence Donnelly, and one from someone
named "Fernie," with different, nonsensical
subject headers, but with the same text.

For instance, from Fernie the subject header
was "Order Taken." From Terrence it was
"Ask me about June 1!"

I was warned about this virus on another list.
The text will come from someone you know
and it comes with an attachment. If you
open the file, it says:

Hi, How are you? I send this file to you
in order to have your advice.

If you open the attachment, it puts a worm on
your computer. I don't know if it does any
damage other than generating useless and
annoying emails from you to everyone you
have an address for.

But please: everyone be very wary about
weird subject headers from individuals on
the group, and attachments. If you get
the message "Hi, How are you?" Please
delete it.

I hope this isn't a hoax. My suspicion is
that it isn't, since I've received the email
twice now.

And if you get anything strange from
Sally Caves ("Hi! How are you?")
PLEASE LET ME KNOW!
I deleted both files without opening the
attachments, and I emptied my trash
twice now. I also ran a Norton Virus
scan. I hope that's enough.
