Nitpick: The way I learnt to use the words, Hinduism "begins" sometime in
the second half of the last millennium BC, developing out of what is known
as "Vedism" or "Vedic religion".
But as old religions goes, all these (in their known forms) are alot younger
than Egyptian and Sumero-Akkadian polytheism. Which's attested stages
undoubtedly comes pretty late in the history of human religious belief.
